Yes, you read that title correctly. I went back to school Monday, and then, yes, I went back to school again today.
This time, though, I am a student.
I have started working on my permanent teacher certification, which requires that I take five college courses over the next three years. It's not all that daunting of a task in theory; but it has been over five years since I walked into a college classroom, and I have to admit I was nervous.
And not just this morning as I drove onto campus - also last night, and earlier this morning as I got myself ready! But I have been excited too. I've finally figured out what I want to do with my life, and now I am getting all the credentials to do so. Yes, it is going to take up some of my precious Saturdays. But it's going to be so worth it in the end.
I tried to remind myself of these sentiments as I prepared to leave this morning, and I got myself pumped up enough that I was able to walk out the door confidently. If there's one thing I know how to do well, it's be a student!
So with this mindset I got into my car and drove to the FAU campus in Boca Raton, regretting only that I hadn't thought to take up my husband so he could take a picture of me on my first day of school! I mean, I really looked cute with my backpack on.
Now, is it the two-shoulder or one-shoulder carry that's cool?
