It's almost 2011. I know I am slightly early, but please do let me say Happy New Year!!!
2010 was quite a year. That gorgeous day on the beach in the early July sunshine will live vividly in my memory for as long as I continue to take breaths. It was everything I wanted it to be, everything we wanted it to be.
But even more special than the day we said, "I do" have been the 184 days since. Sure, the day-to-day stuff (work, dishes, laundry, getting the oil changed) sometimes gets in the way of our remembering how special each and every day is. But even when the to-do list is a mile long, the thing that should top that list is simply to take a moment to remember to be grateful.
As this amazing year comes to an end, I am grateful for every one of the 184 days that I have woken up as Brandon's wife. It is because I am that each of those days and 2010 itself has been so incredibly special.
There won't be a wedding in 2011, but there will be a marriage. 365 days of marriage. And I will be grateful for every single one of them!
