Today was my first official day of winter break. And, after a gruelling four months, during which I experienced adulthood like never before, I wanted nothing more than to do something that would make me feel like a kid again!
So to Dave and Buster's we went! (It was Brandon's first time, which made it that much more exciting!)
If you've never been, please make it a point to go, and soon. It's a restaurant, bar, and arcade! The service leaves a bit to be desired, and the food is only pretty good; but there really is no place more fun!
You eat, you drink, and then you just play! We did skeeball and basketball, "Deal or No Deal" and "Wheel of Fortune." We spun a big wheel and landed on the jackpot - 400 tickets!!! We tried it again and only got four! We played more skeeball and went back to "Deal or No Deal" (Brandon was really good at that!). We tried the big wheel one more time and got 75 tickets! When the money ran out, we had over 800 tickets. We can't get anything good with them yet, but I have a feeling we'll be back soon.
Tickets or no tickets, though, the day was a huge success. I haven't played like that in a long, long time. It felt really good to just be a kid!
